The handle is made from American hickory, treated with linseed oil for increased durability.
Hand forged from Swedish quality steel, the head is struck 4060 times to increase density and durability. With a convex grind cutting edge. The axe is supplied sharpened, polished and ready to use, in a leather axe sheath.
The name of our classic hunting axe comes from Gunnar Ekelund, the squire who, inspired after a trip to the USA, initiated axe production at a larger scale in 187075.
